Part of a series of three 24 × 30 cm paintings exploring colour, shape and the relationships created when simple forms are placed against one another. Each painting in the series is an individual original and is sold separately.
Sweeping bands of yellow and deep red surround a dark blue-black central form, from which a vivid orange shape emerges. The intense contrast gives the centre an almost glowing quality, while the curved forms and visible brushwork create movement across the surface.
