Part of a series of three 24 × 30 cm paintings exploring colour, shape and the relationships created when simple forms are placed against one another. Each painting in the series is an individual original and is sold separately.
A glowing orange-red form emerges from a deep blue-black centre, surrounded by broad sweeps of rich red and intense yellow. The irregular concentric shapes pull the eye inward, while the visible brushwork and shifting edges give the painting a strong sense of movement and physical texture.
