Part of my ongoing exploration of colour, shape and the relationships created when simple forms are placed against one another.
A warm yellow and orange form sits within sweeping layers of deep blue and white against a vivid red ground. At its centre, a small red mark enclosed by pale blue creates a quiet focal point. The broad, curved forms and visible brushwork give the painting a sense of movement, as though the colours are flowing around one another.
