Part of my ongoing exploration of colour, shape and the relationships created when simple forms are placed against one another.
A pale blue and white form sits against a rich red ground, enclosing a vertical ochre-yellow shape with a dark blue and red centre. The strong contrasts, irregular forms and visible brushwork give the painting texture, movement and character.
